
Donald Lee Oberholzer, 77, of 302 Radcliffe Ave., Hagerstown, Md., died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at his home.
Born Dec. 27, 1934, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Jacob Shank and Annie Florence Wilkinson Oberholzer.
He graduated from Hagerstown High School, class of 1952.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed as a field coordinator with Allegheny Power.
He was a life member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
He was a member of BPO Elks 378, AMVETS Post 10, Red Men 84 of Williamsport, Moose Lodge of Waynesboro, Waynesboro American Legion 15, and Potomac Edison Forerunners.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Oberholzer; one daughter, Brenda Oberholzer of Hagerstown; one son, Brian Oberholzer and wife, Tara, of Hagerstown; one sister, Phyllis Oberholzer of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; five grandchildren, Miranda, Megan, Lindsay, Sierra, and Brianna; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael K. Louia will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.
