Margaret E. “Betty” Knepper, age 79, of State Line, PA passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at her home. Betty was born July 16, 1936 in New Grenada, PA, the daughter of the late S. McDowell and Mary R. (Stevens) Houck. She married Carl Knepper on December 10, 1961 at the Waterfall Zion United Methodist Church in Waterfall, PA.
Betty is survived by her husband: Carl Knepper of State Line, PA, one son: Kelly (husband of Sabrina) Knepper of Chambersburg, PA; one granddaughter Betsy… Knepper Friese of Chambersburg, PA and one step-granddaughter Kayla Garula of Chambersburg, PA. She is also survived by one sister Helen Black of Chambersburg, PA.
Betty was an active member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club.
Betty is predeceased by her parents and one brother, Donald Houck.
An evening of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 12 at the Waterfall Zion United Methodist Church, 23222 Zion Church Rd., Waterfall, PA with Pastor Rachel Horst officiating. Burial will be in Center United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hustontown, PA. The family has entrusted Betty’s care to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 322 North Second Street, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
