Paul Martin Usary , 85, of Williamsport, MD, passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at the Meritus Medical Center.

Born Friday, April 15, 1932 in Limestone, TN, he was the son of the late Clyde A. Usary and the late Kathleen (Martin) Usary.

He graduated from East Fairmont High School and then from Fairmont University in 1959, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Administration. After graduation, he taught in Front Royal for four years at Warren County High School. He retired as Director of Personnel from Potomac Edison after 33 years of service. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, where he was Crew Chief on a jet fighter. He was a member of Elks 373, the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 and the Potomac Edison Forerunners.

He is survived by his two sons, Steven Usary and wife, Deborah Giumarra of Huntsville, AL and Richard Usary and wife, Deana of Boonsboro, MD; granddaughters, Alicia M. Roberts and Sarah Jean and Kathleen Jewel Usary; sister-in-law, Mary Frances Usary; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Della Jean Usary; and brothers, Joseph Thomas Usary and Richard Clyde Usary.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD, Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Inurnment will be held privately at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
