Kenneth J. Fizer, Sr. 83, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Friday, April 3, 2020, at 6:45 am, at Doey’s House.
Born in Berkeley County, W. VA, he was the son of the late Samuel J. and Carrie (Butts) Fizer.
He was of the Protestant faith and attended several United Methodist churches over the years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a communication Specialist.
He worked for Potomac Edison for over 36 years retiring in 1996.
Ken was a member of AARP, Potomac Edison Forerunners Club, Moose General Assembly, and several United Methodist churches.
In his younger days, Ken was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing most sports, especially tennis, and played in many groups over the years.
Ken also enjoyed most kinds of music, looking at sport cars, trucks and classic vehicles. He had a good sense of humor and enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Lou Fizer; a son, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Joseph Fizer, Jr. and wife Nancy; sister, Patricia C. Rowe and husband John, and daughter Tammy; and granddaughter Sarah Elisabeth Fizer.
Interment will be private at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
