Lois Martin Handley, 91, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at UPMC-WMHS.
Born October 12, 1928 in Dunbar, PA, she was the daughter of the late David C. Martin and Laura (Seaton) Martin.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; sister, Betty Jean Young and husband Earl; and, brother-in-law William D. Handley and wife Maryanna.
Lois was a graduate of Allegany High School, Class of 1946.
She worked at Potomac Edison Company. She was also a longtime member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club.
Lois was a member of Cresaptown United Methodist for over 50 years. She also belonged to Re Temple #118, Daughters of the Nile and Maplehurst Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf for many years.
Survivors include her husband of over 71 years, Philip Handley; one daughter, Phyllis Fisher and husband Pat; two grandchildren, Laura Puffenbarger and husband John, and Jacob Fisher; and, two great grandchildren, Mason and Gavin.
The Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A. is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Handley, with inurnment in MSVC-Rocky Gap.
The family would like to thank the caregivers for the kind, compassionate care provided to Lois.
