Mrs. Jacqueline B. (Black) Peiffer, 84, of Mercersburg, PA and formerly of Waynesboro, PA passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born August 17, 1936 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Martha L. (Shoop) Black.

Mrs. Peiffer graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1954.

She and her husband of over 63 years, Frederick D. Peiffer, were married on October 25, 1957 in Waynesboro.

Mrs. Peiffer worked at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, for over 28 years. She retired in 1990.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Moose Lodge #1191, Waynesboro and the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club.

Mrs. Peiffer was an avid reader, who enjoyed playing golf, playing cards and supporting the ASPCA.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Stephen L. Peiffer of Mercersburg and Timothy B. Peiffer and his wife, Lisa of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Jacqueline Ayers, Benjamin Peiffer, Alexander Peiffer, Joshua Peiffer, and Shelby Roth; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy L. Dunlap.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Lin Smalec officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Wednesday morning, in the funeral home.
