
Mrs. Nancy B. (Bowers) Roschli, 84, of Greencastle, PA passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 in her home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born February 5, 1937 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Roger J. and Mildred (Funk) Bowers.
Mrs. Roschli graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Emmitsburg, MD, with the Class of 1954.
She and her husband of over 63 years, Richard A. Roschli, were married on February 15, 1958 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Waynesboro. Their plans to honeymoon in Williamsburg, VA were foiled by a wedding day snowstorm and they only made it as far as Rockville, MD. They finally made it to Williamsburg for their 25th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Roschli worked for Landis Machine Company, Waynesboro from 1954 until 1958. She was a homemaker most of her life.
Due to her husband’s career path with Allegheny Power, they lived in 9 towns in 4 different states and she made a loving home for her family in each one.
She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Greencastle and was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 14 years.
Mrs. Roschli enjoyed sewing quilting, and knitting. She was also the family photographer and enjoyed putting together photo albums for the family. She was also a member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club
In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, David Roschli and his wife, Cindy of Kittanning, PA, James Roschli and his wife, Diana of Greencastle, Brian Roschli and his wife, Christine of Kingston, TN, Thomas Roschli and his wife, Deborah of Queenstown, MD, Diane Roschli Grove and her husband, Tim of White Hall, MD and Robert Roschli and his wife, Sandy of Elkridge, MD; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Templeton of Raphine, VA, Susan Maloney of Bonita Springs, FL and Linda Fearnow of Hagerstown, MD; one brother, Michael Bowers of Blacksburg, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Bowers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 3, 2021 in St. Mark Catholic Church, 395 S. Ridge Road, Greencastle. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro and the public is welcome to attend.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, in Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle.
