Bernard Robert “Bud” “Buddy” Galford, 80, of Williamsport, Maryland, passed away on June 8, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born on March 19, 1943, in Cumberland, Maryland, was the son of William Robert and Evelyn Laverne (Bittenger) Galford. He was a 1961 graduate of Allegheny High School. Following high school, Bud began working for the Federal Printing Company before joining the Maryland Army National Guard in the early 1960’s. He then worked and retired from the Potomac Edison Power Company in the 90’s. Also, a longtime member of the Potomac Edison Forerunners Club. Bud was a member of the Moose, the Redmen Tribe #84, the Eagles Club, and Sidling Hill Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and hunting.
He is survived by his son, Alan Galford, and wife Pamela; family members, Betty Weller, Jami Miltenberger, Barbara Hemmis, Jackie Graham, Rusty Schade; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by James Royce Galford, Mary Jane Schade and infant brother, Ronald Galford.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11am at Rest Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD 21742.
